About YMCA Cork

YMCA Cork was established in 1886 and ever since has sought to provide relevant services and programmes to young people.

Among the programmes which YMCA Cork offers are a Youth Information service with a strong emphasis on collaborative work with young people in schools, youth clubs etc; a youth counselling service and a support service aimed at those young people who are homeless or are considered to be at risk of being homeless. For the past 25 years YMCA Cork has been a provider of pre-vocational training with STEP and Elevate, both in its City Centre premises. In more recent years, YMCA Cork has been responsible for the development of a number of youth led YouthSpaces projects, some of which have a strong music and performing arts focus.

YMCA Cork is managed by a local board of management.
