About YMCA Carrickfergus

Carrickfergus YMCA was set up in  1873 and operates from purpose built premises which were opened in 2013.

The YMCA  provides a Youth Club which is open 4 nights per week; a Health Hub which acts as a one stop shop for health information and access to services for 11 – 25yr olds across East Antrim and PAKT, a family support programme which works across Carrick. It has also been involved in piloting an Outreach project which works across Carrick and Larne to engage unattached young people on the streets, in school and offers 1 2 1 mentoring.  In addition the YMCA hosts: m-power, a PSD programme for 16-25 year olds;  Mount St. Nicholas playgroup; Senior Gateway, a group which works with adults with learning difficulties and the Carrick Child Contact Centre which provides a safe space for children to have parental contact.

Carrickfergus YMCA is managed by a local board of directors.
