YMCA Ireland is currently recruiting for a P/T Global Youth Worker

This post will involve developing the capacity of YMCA staff and volunteers, in local associations
on the island of Ireland, to deliver Global Youth Work and supporting them to incorporate Global
Citizenship Education into existing youth programmes in line with the funding received from Irish
Aid.

This will be done by ensuring effective networking both between YMCA programmes and
services and external organisations so that young people from YMCA local communities
participate in GCE activities.

The strategy and emphasis of the role will reflect membership of YMCA Ireland’s Global Justice &
International Development Committee. The postholder, together with other Global Youth Work
team members, will work in liaison with Y Care International’s Engagement Team.

The YMCA’s vision is a world where young people, their families, and communities flourish in body, mind and spirit.

Greenhill YMCA is currently recruiting for an Additional Needs Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled person to join our team at Greenhill YMCA Outdoor Education Centre as an Additional Needs Coordinator.

The post holder will be a member of the Greenhill team with specific responsibility to grow and build capacity and enhance the integration and development of services, activities and programmes for children, young people and adults with additional needs supporting the holistic development of all participants.

Greenhill YMCA is part of the YMCA Ireland movement, nestled in the foothills of Slieve Donard in Co Down. It is a 17-acre site with panoramic views over the town of Newcastle and Dundrum Bay. The YMCA has been delivering programmes here at Greenhill for over 100 years and it’s the ideal place for any young person to fulfill their potential.

The YMCA’s vision is a world where young people, their families, and communities flourish in body, mind and spirit.

The salary is £27,653.00 gross.

YMCA Ireland seeks P/T Youth Worker – Cork City Youth Service (GroundFloor)

Part-time Youth Worker (14 hours per week including evening and weekend work, particularly Saturdays) position with YMCA from June 2022.

This post involves both centre based and outreach delivery of youth work services to young people in the Cork area using a number of methodologies. These include informal work, theme based sessions, larger events, leadership development and one to one youth work. Applicants need to have a suitable qualification, 2 years or more experience working with young people (desirable), enthusiasm for youth participation and youth leadership and to work as part of a team!

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic people to join our team at Greenhill YMCA Outdoor Education Centre as cleaners/housekeepers. The post holder will be a member of the Housekeeping team with specific responsibility to ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the centre for visiting groups.
