One of YMCA Ireland's current strategic objectives is to work in collaborative partnership with other organisations. A tangible example of this has been the partnership with Cork Diocesan Youth Council (CDYC) which saw leaders from that organisation pursue a FETAC Level 5 accredited award in Working with Young People through the YMCA. This course had been developed by YMCA Ireland and had previously been offered to YMCA volunteers. Ten volunteer leaders from across Co Cork were presented with their certificates at a special award ceremony in Bandon.
